Shipping Policy
At Ioilpainting.art, we are dedicated to ensuring your beautiful oil painting reproduction or custom artwork arrives at your door safely and in perfect condition. Because each piece is custom-made, we have a specialized process for handling, packaging, and shipping to ensure the highest quality standards.
Order processing and production time
- For reproductions: All reproductions are made to order. Please allow 10 to 15 business days for our artists to create, dry, and prepare your painting for shipping.
- For custom paintings: The creation of a custom oil painting from your photo is a detailed process. Please allow 12 to 20 business days for production. This includes time for the artist to paint and for the oil to cure sufficiently for safe shipping. We will keep you updated throughout the production process.
- Approval process (for custom orders): For custom paintings, we will send you a high-resolution photograph of the finished piece for your approval before shipping. This is your opportunity to request any minor adjustments.
- Processing orders: Once production is complete and/or you have approved your custom artwork, please allow an additional [1–3] business days for us to perform a final quality check, professionally package your artwork, and prepare it for shipment.

Shipping costs
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the artwork's size, weight, and destination.
- Shipping insurance is automatically included in the shipping cost for all paintings to protect against loss or damage during transit.
Packaging and handling
- Exceptional protection: Your artwork's safety is our top priority. We use professional-grade packing techniques and materials specifically designed for shipping fragile oil paintings.
- Glassine paper: The surface of your painting will be covered with a protective layer of glassine paper, which prevents sticking or damage.
- Secure wrapping: Your painting will be wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap, with the smooth side facing the artwork to prevent imprints.
- Sturdy crating: Depending on the size and value of the painting, we use reinforced cardboard boxes or custom wooden crates to ensure your artwork is secure and well-protected during transit.
- Specialized labeling: All packages are clearly marked with "FRAGILE" and "HANDLE WITH CARE" stickers to alert carriers to the delicate nature of the contents.
Tracking your order
- Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number.
- You can use this number to monitor the progress of your delivery directly on the carrier's website.
Shipping damage and returns
- Inspection upon arrival: Please inspect your package immediately upon delivery. If the outer box appears damaged, take photos of the package before opening it.
- Reporting damage: In the unlikely event that your artwork is damaged in transit, please contact us at [sales@ioilpainting.art] within [3 business days] of receipt.
- Replacement or refund: To process a claim, we will require clear photographs of the damaged artwork and the original packaging. We will then work with you to arrange for a replacement or a refund, depending on the circumstances.
